TalkTalk Player 2.0 Trial

Posted by Sarah Davis on 2014-02-14 15:17:08

What is the trial about and what will I be asked to do?
As we move our TV Boost Channels in to the YouView Guide, our Player needs to be re-designed to showcase all the on demand content TalkTalk have to offer. You will be asked to use the new Player and feedback on your experience of exploring the On Demand Films and TV Programmes provided from TalkTalk. Not only will we need to know if the Player is working as expected but what we really want are your ideas for the design of the Player and how you would want to interact with it! How cool is that? If you are selected on to the trial, you will automatically receive the new Player update in February, which is when the trial will start...but we will contact you with more information nearer the time.

How do I sign up?
If you would like to be one of our "TalkTalk TV Player Champions" simply register your interest here and we will contact you on or around Monday 17th February regarding your application.

Who are you looking for?
We are looking for keen viewers of on demand film and TV content to help trial the brand new Player from February. You will need to be an existing TalkTalk TV customer, and preferably have used the TalkTalk Player frequently in the past. It doesn't matter which TalkTalk TV Package you have with us (Essentials TV or Plus TV) either as we will not be making any changes to your package or monthly bills.

Can I be on both the TV Boost channel trial and this new TalkTalk Player trial?
Yes! We would love to have you on both!

If you have any questions regarding this trial, please post in this thread or email talktalktrials@talktalkplc.com and we will be more than happy to answer them for you, otherwise, simply sign up here!

DLink DHPW311AV (PowerLine with Wireless Adapters) Trial - Update

Posted by Greg on 2013-03-01 07:29:25

We've completed our trial for the DLink DHPW311AV Powerline and Wireless Adapters, and we're delighted with the overall results. It took quite a while to get the product to our trialists, as we had to make sure they were right - but the improvements we've seen in Wireless speed, range and signal speed has been significant. Also, we've seen a noticeable uplift in Powerline wired performance against our current PLA's - which again is pleasing to see reported.

Thanks for everyone who sent feedback on the adapters, the setup guide and how easy it was to install. We've fed all the information and suggestions to improve it before we release the product to the Product Management and Marketing teams, and you directly have helped us build a better, quality product for our customers.

Thank you.

Kind regards,
MGB
