TalkTalk Labs are happy to announce that we are running a trial to test our new firmware upgrade tool that we plan to roll out to TalkTalk broadband customers later in the year. Running the tool can improve wireless signal and stability for some devices, with the installation of more up-to-date firmware on your TalkTalk device.

Devices we require owners of to test are:

• Huawei HG532
• Huawei HG521
• Huawei HG520b
• DLink DSL-2680
• DLink DSL-2780

The software is downloaded to your local PC, which connects via Ethernet to your router. The application then checks the make and model of your router and queries the firmware server for new firmware.

The application is Windows XP, Vista and 7 (32 and 64bit) (sorry, this has not been developed for Mac, Android or Unix based OS's)
